Hi,
Just spent time searching for the answer to my problem, but this thread is the nearest i've come... alas it doesn't give a solution for me. I too have the Trio 3D card, and get the same error as pdemaers.
I can stop the abnormal termination by typing acpi=off apparently, but I don't want issues later on with my video card; I have read this too:
"Note: The compatibility/availability of other hardware components (such as video and network cards) may be required for specific installation modes and/or post-installation usage."
Can anyone tell me what I can do?
