Fedora Core 3 / USB Pen Drive Automount

FC3 apparently uses something called pamconsole to automount my USB Pen drive when it is inserted. The only problem is that it gives only rx permissions to owner and group. Even though I'm listed as the owner, it will only allow root to write to it. Where do I go to correct this? When I insert the drive, a line is then added to the /etc/fstab for the mounting. It's not there otherwise. Thanks.

With Fedora Core 3 all of the set up for a USB drive is dynamic, which is why lines appear and disappear from /etc/fstab (search for Project Utopia if you're interested in the details).

I had the same problem with USB drives being set up as read-only, but it went away yesterday after installing all of the updates that are out. Unfortunately, I don't know which of the updated packages fixes this problem.

yup... fedora core 3 seems to be more secured.. my normal account won't even let me mount my drives except in root mode or if the drive it automount (flash disk)

where should i go to configure it? im new to fedora core 3.. just shifted from red hat 9.. interfaces really look somewhat similar.. but obviously, different setups..

need help, thanks!
