Fedora Core 3 installed successfully

I installed Fedora Core 3 on a 6-year old SCSI workstation, 128MB RAM/512MB swap.

No problems.

It found the monitor and all. This machine doesn't have anything like sound card/etc. so it was not an issue.

The previous OS was RH8.

FC3 seems to run a bit slower. Not sure which window manager I got, Gnome by default?

But, the new Firefox browser is much better than the old buggy Mozilla, so far, anyway.

OH wow!...Congrats

I think you have GNOME by default

Mozilla 1.0.6 is available for download. DOwnload and use it.

I think because of the graphics requirement of 192 MB or more is the reason its running a bit slow :-?

not sure though!

128MB RAM is really the minimum, it gets snappier if you can give it more than that.

Before installing any extra software, run:

su -c 'yum update'

There have been a *lot* of updates since FC3 was released, including new versions of Firefox.
