Fedora Core 3 hangs, freezes on "Starting sshd"
D'oh! I didn't even see these posts when I came here originally, and posted this already in the installation forum. Oh well...
My problem is that I installed FC3 with no problems, yet when I boot, it hangs and then freezes when it reaches "Starting sshd" every single time. Is there some way I can simply disable sshd? Is there a better solution? |
Ok, does anyone know how I can at least skip over sshd initializing? I tried pressing 'i' when it was booting for interactive startup, but nothing happened.

If you can get a to a root login (use your boot CD), issue the command:
chkconfig --level 5 sshd off |
