Fedora Core 2 - Video Mode Not Supported

I downloaded and installed Red Hat Fedora (core 2) and performed the graphical install. During the install process it could not detect my monitor type so I selected a monitor that was similar to mine and changed the HorizSync and VertRefresh rates to reflect my monitors capabilities.

After the installation was completed and the system rebooted I received the "Video Mode Not Supported" message. I am not sure if this message was caused by my monitor not being detected properly or my video card which is a NVIDIA TNT2 video card.

Any help that could be provided to help me get up and running would be greatly appreciated.

Boot, at the menu, scroll to the Fedora line and hit 'E' to edit.
Scroll to the 'kernel' line and hit 'E' to edit.
Edit the line:
- add a '3' to the end of the line (no quotes)
- remove the 'rhgb' in the line
Hit enter.
Hit 'B' to boot.

If you boot you will boot to terminal console only (no Xserver).
Login as root, and edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
If you need to re-install the nvidia driver or anything you can also do it now.

Then reboot.

Good luck.
