If i got a FC1 iso would it include fixes to all these bugs or am i going to have to update?

Being on 56k i want as few problems that require downloading as possible, i would rather risk my MBR then download alot of updates Besides it seems like there are alot of solutions to this mbr problem, one of them has to work i figure

I have been using fc2 for a couple of months now and i have had very little problems with. some problems with capturing video and getting my sensors to work but otherwise its a good OS.
just get apt and synaptic and update away!

Here's my experience, hope it helps for the undecided:

I've been using FC1 since it came out as my primary (and only I should say) OS (Windows is installed in my old PIII 1.0Ghz, but we all know it is not an OS anyway ), I downloaded the ISOs for FC2, made a FULL backup of my data, then proceeded to upgrade FC1 to FC2.

The upgrade process went uneventful, I dont really care about the nVidia Video drivers (I have a 440MX), absolutely all my data an programs were preserved, including OpenOffice, my dynamic dns updater (client), my webserver (zope), etc, etc.

Two annoyances, though, (1) Sound is really messed up, although there are several posts on "fixes" for it, and my major one, which probably will not be a big deal for many, is the fact that, being left handed, I cannot switch to left-hand mode, because the mouse just goes berzerk, not responding to clicks, left button or right button open the "context" menu, so I am stuck on a right-hand OS, really frustrating (tried all, modifying XFree86 config file, running system-config-mouse, running xmodmap, changing my mouse from PS/2 (adaptor) to USB, changing mice (from logitech to M$), etc, etc, etc, this problem really sucks).

Overall I highly recommend it, it is a nice, new and pretty stable OS, wouldn't change it for anything.

I wasn't too thrilled about Core 1 because I managed to corrupt my package manager a week into it. Core 2 is awesome though! I've been using it for two weeks and I've had less compatibility problems than with SuSE 9.0 or Mandrake 10. The only bad thing is that mp3 support seems to be completely blocked. I just fired up mp3ogg and now I'm set.
