Fedora Core 1 Update Problem

I just installed Fedora Core 1 and ran yum update in the terminal as su. As it ran the following line came up:

getting /var/cache/yum/updates-released/headers/mailman-3-2.1.4-1.i386.hdr
mailman-3-2.1.4-1.i386.hd 100% |=========================| 7.7 kB 05:01
Damaged Header /var/cache/yum/updates-released/headers/mailman-3-2.1.4-1.i386.hdr

Yum was hung up on this part for a while then continued. Soon after this line also came up:

Getting pango-1.2.5-4.i386.rpm
pango-1.2.5-4.i386.rpm 100% |=========================| 7.7 kB 05:01
error: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: headerRead failed: hdr blob(19144): BAD, read returned 7382

The same thing happened with this. The terminal stopped for a couple minutes then continued to update. How can I fix this?

Thanks.

looks like the files were damaged and there could not found further alternatives.
try again, possibly at this moment yum was out of servers to try.

when there comes a message about an incorrect server, look at /etc/yum.conf and disable the according entry, for example:

#[updates-testing]
#name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Unreleased Updates
#baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/$releasever/$basearch/

...make your updates and set the entry back
