Hi,
Thanks a lot for the inputs. But, still I have too many problems. I am not able to find acpi on BIOS settings. I am trying on the system with the config: It is Intel Dual Core and SATA hard disk. I have Win 2003 Server already installed. But, the GRUB loaded detected it and even i could log into 2003 successfully. I tried to boot in interactive mode: Please find the services and the messages when I tried interactive mode: Start Service CPU speed (Y) FATAL: Error inserting acpi-cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufeq.ko) : No such device Rest all fine.. then.. Determining IP information for eth0.. failed [FAILED] then.. Start Service rpcidmapd [FAILED] Start Service message bus [FAILED] then.. Start Service bluetooth (Y) touch: cannot touch: '/var/lock/subsys/hcid' : read-only file system,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then all services failed ..only Starting Console mouse Services [OK] Starting crond [FAILED] then blank screen appeared. Kindly let me know, what should be done? Can I use any other disto of linux on SATA ? But, I do not have 2 hard disks. I just have to install in one along with Win 2003 Server. Please let me know. Thanks & Regards, Venkat |
