Fedora 9 Lost Network Connection After Several Hibernations.

I found my Fedora 9 install worked, needed some proxy editing to connect to the net, then needed some modifications through add/remove software, to play you tube. Flash player.

But now after some hibernations, it stopped downloading software, and lost web browsing. The modem works.

It somehow lost the Modem, ie, the brand no longer showed, and another brand I don't have did instead.

It has two Ethernet connections.

I tried modifying it, but it says there is no modem detected.

Any solutions, anyone had the same problem?

Just curious, does this still happen after you reboot?

Yes, reboots don't fix this. I tried altering the proxy settings, but somehow the OS lost the modem, I think.

Did you by chance update the kernel recently?

No, it is I think a May or June release Fedora 9. It is possible there were automatic updates.

I had to install flash for you tube, and some HP freeware, earlier on, Wine.

If the Kernel was updated, it was automatic and may have been interrupted.
