fedora 6 no video on first boot.
 
Im new to linux and I put this on a data genral quad server and had the same problem but I don't remember how I got it to work. On my first boot there is a flicker and no video. Can any one help on this matter?

Based on the great big pile of information you supplied, I'd say your monitor calved. Or you tripped on the cord and un-plugged it.

sorry about the info. I got no GUI at all, blank screen. I fig out how to get around it with out configering that file(/etc/X11/xorg.conf). What I did is I reinstalled but I Custom install and took out system-config-display in x - windows. Thats it and it boot with video. So thanks again for your help.

okay!! information mean: what your hardware... please tell us what is your monitor, your graphic card, your motherboard, your kernel version, your graphic driver and version, and your /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
