fedora 6 install
 

Hey community...

I am trying to install Fedora Core 6 on the following machine...

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 2.0GHz
EPoX EP-9HEAI 939 VIA K8T890 ATX AMD Motherboard
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400
GIGABYTE GV-NX68G256D-B GeForce 6800GS 256MB Vid Card
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3160212A 160GB IDE HDD
MSI PC60G 32bit PCI2.2 Turbo G Wireless Adapter

When the install starts, and tries to go to the graphic install... I get nothing but green lines all over the screen. As of this entry, I had not made the attempt at a text install. I will be making that attempt tomorrow.

I was curious if this was because of the graphics card that I have or another source.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :D

UPDATE:
I guess it's good when we can answer our own questions...

It was my graphics card causing the problem. The card was not supported by the drivers in the install. I've got the correct driver now, and will attempt installing the card this weekend. :D

We'll see what happens.
