fedora 3 startx xorg problem

Hey,

I installed a fresh fedora 3. But when i want to start X it gives me errors about the mouse and keyboard (starting from SSH remotely).
When I used KDE on fedora 1 it did not give me any problems. Does there have to be a mouse/keyboard attached for X (and kde) to start now or is there a way to bypass this, or some way to start x like fc1 did?

if for some bizarre reason you want to start X without any inpout devices, you can change the keyboard and mouse entries to use dummy drivers. for example:
Code:
Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier  "Dummy"
    Driver  "void"
EndSection
[...]
Section "ServerLayout"
    [...]
    InputDevice "Dummy" "CorePointer"
EndSection

mind you though, you should still be able to leave in /dev/psaux for a ps2 mouse. this entry should always exist, and by plugging in a mouse at any time, it should start working instantly. maybe if you installed FC3 with a USB mouse, then the device entry is dynamically removed due to USB being more advanced than a ps/2 or serial connection

Ok i've changed that.
Now it just hangs:

(==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Mon Jan 3 13:47:46 2005
(++) Using config file: "/root/xorg.conf.new"

Don't think its started cause when i do startkde is shows

xsetroot: unable to open display ''
xset: unable to open display ""
xset: unable to open display ""
xsetroot: unable to open display ''
startkde: Starting up...
ksplash: cannot connect to X server
kdeinit: Aborting. $DISPLAY is not set.
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
ksmserver: cannot connect to X server
startkde: Shutting down...
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
Error: Can't contact kdeinit!
startkde: Running shutdown scripts...
startkde: Done.

Is there a way to use the configs that fedora 1 used (XFree86 ?) to start X ? Didn't have problems there .
