Fedora 26 - Computer will not wake from suspend
 

Have to power off and restart to get computer back. Never had this problem with any other Fedora.

Are you sure that it isn't awake? You might just have a screen problem. What happens to the power light? Does an indicator light come on when you press caps lock? Can you reboot from the keyboard with ctrl-alt-del? Does anything happen if you give the power button a quick push?

What video card and what drivers are you using? Newer Nvidia cards do not work with the Nouveau driver and a black screen is the result.

Power light is on. Nothing happens with caps lock. Cannot reboot from keyboard. Nothing happens from quick push to power. Have to turn computer completely off. When it reboots everything is fine, no problems with anything. But if it goes to sleep, it really goes to sleep. Re-booting is the only thing that brings it back.

What brand/model/chipset
is your video card?

Here's what /sbin/lspci | grep VGA returns: AMD/ATI RV370 Radeon X300

Well, I have no experience with ATI cards, only Nvidia. Here is a thread I found on the subject:

I just re-booted into the non-PAE kernel and I don't have the suspend problem.

check that, it still won't wake up. I don't think it's a driver issue since I don't have any issues while the computer is running. It's only when it suspends.

I have exact same problem as Sineath52. It only started recently after months of suspending and awakening perfectly. Very annoying. Had another OS did same thing once - I think there was a piece of code you could enter in terminal to correct it.

So we can all take this as a rant, not a request for assistance ?.
