Hi all,

Just slammed FC2 into a vmware (hosted on windows) and I am getting the most odd result.

when I bring the system up, all goes dine till the login prompt and then the system pauses about every three seconds and the screen blanks out, after a couple of seconds it comes back, and I can type. This repeats for sever minutes untill the system goes unreponsive.

I belive the installed options were for basic server stuff.

Anyone see this before? I have successfully setup FC1 in VMs, so I don't know what this is about?

yea I figured it out at the beginning of the summer, just do a google for "Fedora Core 2 on VM Ware" or something along those lines and you should get some directions about downloading a script and you have to apply some patch to Fedora Core and do a couple of little other changes.

But as a heads up, Fedora Core 2 runs like crap on VM Ware for some reason.

Thanks for the tip and that's too bad about the performance on VMware, I have run many distros on VM withour problems in the past.
