Fedora 2 Cisco VPN Client Problem

I have used the Cisco VPN client on previous releases of RH and the Fedora Core 1 release but when I donloaded and installed version I get an error saying it cannot read the profile.

the exact error message reads

Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.0.4 (B)
Copyright (C) 1998-2003 Cisco Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Client Type(s): Linux
Running on: Linux 2.6.6-1.435 #1 Mon Jun 14 09:09:07 EDT 2004 i686

The profile specified could not be read.

Please note that ...

the vpn client installed with no errors
lsmod show the cisco_ipsec module loaded
these two profiles are the same as I use on my other boxes
profiles are in /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient/Profiles/

Any and all help would be appreciated as I have fought with this for a few hours.

Question cisco vpn client

Did you ever get it to work. I just setup Fedora C2. I went to cisco site, but I can't find the VPN client download. Do you (or anyone else) have the link?

thanks

Cool The Specified Profile Could Not Be Read

I am running Fedora Core 2 Kernel 2.6.5-1.538 , Cisco VPN Clent 4.05. I got it to work by overwriting the contents of the sample profile with those of my working profile. Command line in my link is simply: vpnclient connect sample.

I had the same problem but solved it. do the following:
"vpnclient connect foobar"
So don't append the .pcf!
