fedora 2 boot disk?
i know that creating a boot disk is not an option anymore in FC2.
I have a pc with xp and fc1 installed, i don't want to use grub as an installer because i have had lots of trouble with it, so the xp boot loader is what i use. so what can i do when i install fc2 to be able to boot it after installing it? I also have a laptop wih no linux installed right now, i also want to install fedora core2 on that. I have a designated partition for it, and have the same question there, how do i boot fc2? thanx |
I believe a boot disk is still creatable in FC2. Check the CD's for the img directory and there should be a boot img (size of 1,44 MB)

well, i am using FC2 on my pc and grubs works like a charm(but i think i like more lilo insted) anyway i dont see why you say you have grub problems on your pc, grub should work.
In a laptop on the other hand i know that some people had some problem with grub the screen showed a lot of 999999999 or 6666666 dont know why,(please correct me if i am wrong) Anyway. You could try this: http://www.reallylinux.com/docs/bootdsk.html |
hi
you may want to try "bootpart" "http://www.winimage.com/bootpart.htm" or do it the hard way "http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+NT-Loader-5.html and "http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+NT-Loader-6.html" i hope i was of some help ----------------------- Kostason |
