Unhappy Fedora 18 GIMP G'MIC plugin installed but not available to use.

Hi folks and greetings. So, the deal is just what I say in the title, I have downloaded the G'MIC plugin for GIMP, (I am using the 2.8 version), I extracted the file to the downloads folder and did copy/paste of the file to /username/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins and started GIMP but the plugin is not available to use under the Filters menu.
I don't really know if there is some repository that can be added to install extra plugins and scripts like the FX Foundry (that's a good one). I haven't found anything in google that could point out to a solution.
That's it for now, thanks in advance.

Oh, God, help me to don't be punnished and badly criticized for this I am such a fool! Well, I am a middleaged dumbass, what else can i say? I have it in the DNA!! I am really sorry for being such an ignorant and not trying harder. I had to give permissions to excecute as a program doing right click over it and in the Permissions tab that was it.

Thank you for reading and sorry for the inconvenience.

solved but ....

have fun with Gmic

i have been using that code since before the name change to gmic
it used to be called "GREYCstoration" and was part of the "Cimg.h" project

the gimp plugin is 8 bit only

but the terminal version of gmic can use images in the { bool | uchar | char | ushort | short | uint | int | float | double }
format

The terminal gmic has replaced ImageMagick for me
