Angry Fedora 16 broken system - Removed glib2 --with-nodeps

I was trying to compile gimp 2.8 from source and everything seem to compile correctly. As I found out it compiled to "/usr/local/...", I removed glib2 --with-no-deps(how I regret that) becaused I compiled glib2 from source and gimp was telling me about having something about conflict on system libraries. Now I have a broken system that won't even show login screen.

well you uninstalled glib

there is NO fixing that

reinstall fedora
and install fedora 17

and as to a NEWER glib and GEGL ( one that is NOT in the repos )
you need to build a SECOND glib andf install it in a place that the Operating system WILL NEVER SEE IT

glib IS THE OS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is one program YOU DO NOT REPLACE

building that or the current Development version you need to build it in its own folder and build ALL the dependancies IN THAT FOLDER
then point gcc to that folder to find them

this is NO EASY TASK !!!

do you have about 30 days to learn how to do this ?
it is NOT something you do " because"

you have to REALLY REALLY want to do it

so think for a bit
do you REALLY WANT TO DO THIS !!!

put it this way
i have been building the source and development versions since 2001
and this IS NOT something i will do
gimp 2.6.12 is what i built on OpenSUSE 12.1 , 2 days ago.

I have used a live Fedora cd and able to view and edit my files. Now Then I'm going to have to backup all my files, I have already installed Fedora 17 in another hard drive. I have been doing a little programming here and there and decided to build some programs from source so I can study the source code. Hopefully somebody would learn from my mistake and Thanks JohnVV!!!
