Hi,
for starters Fedora 14 is no longer supported. The current version is Fedora 19. I would suggest that the first step in installing nwchem is to install a current operating system. After you've done that you can tackle installing the software you want. Note that the current version of Debian comes with NWChen 6.1, and if you really need version 6.3 it should be fairly easy to install. Evo2. |
There are no installable NWChem packages for Fedora, any version.
And : yum cannot install a "source code folder" like nwchem-6.3-src.2013-05-28/ The primary functions, yum : Updating already installed rpm packages, and download / install new rpm packages from the Fedora repository. $ man yum http://linux.die.net/man/8/yum There is no easy way to build NWChem on Fedora. Suggest an Ubuntu or Debian OS : NWChem can be "click installed". ? A similar? tool, Fedora : # yum install gabedit http://gabedit.sourceforge.net/ http://www.salstar.sk/rpmbrowse/find...ns/Engineering - |
