Fedora 12 on a powermac g5 - sound issue

I have an old powermac g5 (Oct. 2004, dual 1.8 ghz g5 model) that I recently installed fedora 12 on. Everything was going smoothly and I'd been using it happily until I realized that sound wasn't working. Checked the device settings and everything looked right (hardware showing up as K2 KeyLargo Mac IO, none of the channels are muted, etc). I have SELinux set to permissive because I noticed it throwing up access denial errors with Rhythmbox and libjack, but that didn't seem to do it. Tried out Ubuntu 9.10 on the same machine without any sound issues. Any thoughts on what I could be missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Haven't checked back in with Gnome yet but got it working within KDE by right clicking on the volume applet and switching the master channel from "Master" to "PCM". Good enough for now.
