Have you checked if your sound is set to mute? Check System > Preferences > Advanced Volume Control and also System > Preferences > Sound, if you haven't already done so. Cheers, Terry |
that is most likely the BUG in fedora's sound .It should have been fixed with the update of two days or 6 days ago .
have you tried uninstalling pulseaudio and reinstalling it ? |
i tested the mic and i found that it works very good
i think the problem is here http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/278/25125965.gif so what can i do then |

Hullo,
You haven't provided much information on what you have tried. It may be your internal sound settings, your speaker hardware, or something else. If you haven't already done so, go to System>Preferences>Advanced Volume Control and check that your playback options are enabled and that the volume is set to a reasonable level. Probably a good idea to report that here. Have you tried a fresh install of Pulseaudio? Is there some other way of checking your speakers? I have an Acer laptop which provides speaker volume control via the keyboard, does your laptop provide this functionality? If so, have you tried adjusting the speaker volume by this method? Do you have a dual boot which would allow you to test the speakers? I'm clutching at straws here in an attempt to help you isolate the problem. Maybe even install VirtualBox and try another distro in that environment to prove that it can work OK. Let's know how you get on. Cheers, Terry |
here you are some screenshots of advanced volume control

If the OP has the realtek 883 audio device in that laptop and is using ALSA, he/she may like to have a read of the thread I linked to if he/she has not yet. Note in particular that some options can be passed to the sound driver module do help it detect and configure properly for the onboard sound device. The '6stack-dig' option is very likely NOT the right option for a laptop, but there are other options which describe the chip/jack configuration. These can be found by either looking at the source code for the Intel HDA driver, specifically patch_realtek.c or by reading the documentation inside the kernel source code, in the sound department.
