Fedora 11 Installation Can't Find Repositories

For some reason I don't understand, if I install Fedora 10 or 11, both the 'Add/Remove Software' and 'Update System' tools don't work -- basically, because they can't find the Fedora repositories, even though I do have web access. When this first happened in Fedora 10, it was because it installed without IPv4 enabled (IPv6 only, go figure); I fixed that, but it still wouldn't find the repositories, and I just let it go because 1) I assumed my fix was incomplete, and 2) I could continue on Fedora 9 with no immediate problems. But then when I installed Fedora 11 with IPv4 already turned on, and it still couldn't find the repositories, that just seemed wrong.

It really doesn't matter if I update my existing system, install clean from DVD, or install clean from the Live! CD; the result is the same all ways. FWIW, I also can't turn on the option to add new repositories during installation, which doesn't really surprise me. I've looked at the repo definitions in /etc/yum.repos.d, and they look OK. Any suggestions? I'm OK with just continuing on F9 for now, but it won't be long before it reaches "end of life" and doesn't get any more updates.

F9 is beyond EOL now.

Are you running behind a proxy?

yum update

Hi! I had the same problem as andymck. Suggestion at

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common...ading_from_F10

fixes it.
