fedora 10 slow to boot....


Hi
I've just installed cleanly fedora 10 using the live cd, in both the live cd and the installed version fedora takes absolutely ages to boot, I don't know why can anyone help?

How long is ages?
Any pointers on the screen during boot?
Any pointers in the logfiles?

it takes about 2-3 mins and then the boot process continues....

do you see messages on the screen during boot?
Look where the bootprecess stops or takes a long time
often it is the network (dhcp)

well... it was slow at:
starting udev:

that took like 2-3mins and then it started the boot process

Try acpi=off option. Edit kernel line again and add acpi=off at the end of it.

I sems it doesn't like your hardware.
