Hi i have fedora core 1 in my old lovely system (that means that i wont change the os)
and i need a packet manager like apt-get that can download packages from web install them and configure them....
Propose me sth but plz give me links with installation instructions and packages
and dont forget
FEDORA CORE 1 RULES!! :P
But it is not recommended. It is much better to use the regular installer, because it takes care of lots of things other than just update packages. I quote the YumUpgradeFaq:
Quote:
Just Upgrade using anaconda - save yourself a world of pain.
Anaconda is just the name of the installer on the Fedora Core installation CDs. The easiest way is to burn the CDs for the newer version and use them just like you installed Fedora Core the first time. It has an "upgrade" option.
I don't know what to tell you, but after you start the installation and select language and stuff somewhere it should detect your older version and display this screen
