Fedora's KDE very sluggish for me?

I have used redhat 9.0 in the past, it's KDE was fine, it really didn't bother me. GNOME has never bothered me at all, it worked fine, I just don't really like the feel of GNOME. I am using Fedora core 2, and I am having very sluggish things in menus, and it is taking a long time. I want to be able to work in peace

My PC isn't old, nor slow
