Fc9 x86_64 locking up

Hullo All,
I am running 2.6.25-14.fc9.x86_64, ASUS M3A MB latest bios, 9550 Phenom, Nvidia 9600GT with 173.14.12 driver.
The system has locked solid about 3 times over the past couple of months. It seems quite random, no obvious relationship in the circumstances at the time.
I have resorted to hardware reset to get going again, not knowing how else to handle it.
I have no idea if it is a software or hardware issue, and I would like some advice on how I might find or at least get some clues as to the cause of the problem.
Is there a known issue with this version of Fedora/kernel?

Cheers
Terry

It is not a known issue.

See the log files in /var/...

or install ksystemlog for the purpose.

it may be related to the nvidia driver ...see the xorg logs too.

Nothing shows up in any of the log files, nor xorg logs, so completely in the dark.
I'm thinking that next time it occurs I'll fire up another machine on the network which has nfs access and see if that can access files. That might narrow down the possabilities, but I would need someone who knows more than I to advise what else I might do.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Terry
