FC9: sudo, env_reset and secure_path

I have been using sudo since FC4.

In FC9 there seems to be a difference. Under FC4/FC6 when I sudo'd as me, it kept my enviroment (including path). Under FC9, it seems that PATH is reset irrespective of what settings I put in sudoers (I have tried !env_reset, adding PATH to env_keep, adding a Defaults of setenv and running with -E) - but no matter what it sets PATH to a minimal list.

I had read that secure_path could be the cause and that that was a compile time option. Does anyone know if this is the default for FC9 and if so, how can I get sudo back to running as it did before (ie is there a combination of sudoers entries that will bypass secure_path)? If it is now the default does anyone know whay this has been changed?

The problem for me is that I have certain development scripts that I want to run as root, but each of those scripts may have a different PATH set depending upon which application I'm in - so its not that easy to simply set the PATH inside sudoers.

There was a recent exploit with the way environment was handled with sudo. Thats probably the reason you are seeing the changes.

I am not 100% sure though
