FC8 on laptop: no warning for critical battery?

Hi!
I've just installed FC8 on my laptop (Acer travelmate) and was surprise to have my laptop shut down without any warning because the battery was too low.
I've looked in the preferences and couldn't find any options for getting a message as soon as the battery is too low. it's weird because I have FC3 on another laptop and there is such option.

how may I get a warning message?
thanks.

Look in System > Preferences > System > Power Management. There are several settings there related to battery power but the list is not very comprehensive in my opinion. Just for the record, last night my Toshiba laptop warned me that there were 4 minutes left before the system would shut down.

that's where I've looked at, but there is nothing about warning's message. there are only options about hibernate, shut down.... but nothing about warning.
