fc7 ftp or httpd install help please.
I'm trying to install fc7 on a local network not on the internet. It's in a High School.
I have an ftp and httpd server running that I want to pull fc7 off of. I set up the distro from the DVD I downloaded. I've tried both ftp and http
ftp = /var/ftp/pub/fc7/
http = /home/cwc/html/fc7/
I've changed permissions.
When I try to connect on the network I get an error that indicates THE IMAGE CAN'T BE FOUND.
The installation is looking for "minstg2.img"
Here's what's in the ../images/ direcrory.
../fc7/images/
boot.iso minstg2.img README TRANS.TBL
diskboot.img pxeboot stage2.img xen
Am I missing something? Do I need to do something to my server?
I'm sticking with fc7 due to the problems I had with
sun's java and tomcat with fc8.

I am not 100% sure what your situation is, but if you are trying to do a "network install" to a client on your school's network, then the address that needs to be plugged into the client is going to be http://imagehostname/public_htmlpath/fc7 or ftp://imagehostname/pub/fc7
Just because the image host is local on your network, does not mean you can use a local path on the client.
I could have completely misunderstood you, in which case I am sorry.

That's exactly what I've done. I just can't pick up the install img.

Haven't done this in a while, so I might be going in the wrong direction, but can you confirm that the target system can access the http address of the image host?
