There's a thread over at Fedora Forum, started back in '05 and was for FC5 and slow boot times. It's still relavant and as you read through the thread you'll see that it goes into FC6. The thread I sent you probably get's into things like shutting down services that you don't need. Un-needed services are one of the biggest loads on system start-up time. Go through the thread and see what your results are. Don't forget to time bootup speed before you make any changes so that you have a beginning benchmark.
