FC6 SMP Arch Question
 

Hello,

I am running FC6 on a Dual PIII 866 workstation. My question is that SMP does not show up in grub like it used to. When I cat cpuinfo there are 2 cpu's. I tried doing a yum install kernel-smp which loaded the SMP kernel in previos versions but it could not find a SMP package. Anyone know how install the SMP kernel with FC6? Also should I be I586 or I686? I think I586 since I have a PIII but I am not sure.

Should read the release notes, but to answer your first question all kernels for FC6 (i686 and x86_64) are now smp kernels by default. Pentium III cpu's are i686;
