Fc6, Nvidia & Sceptre Lcd

As seems to be the norm with just about every Linux distro today I'm having display problems. After figuring out that FC6 will only install on my system if I boot using "Linux Vesa" the install went off without a hitch. However, upon removing the install dvd and rebooting I'm greeted by the BSD (Black Screen of Death) and a frozen system. Ctrl-Alt-F1 gets me to a text screen that scrolls by various items until it stops just after it shows bridging firewall. So, what do I do now? I've searched various forums and Googled but I can't seem to find any instructions for how to actually boot into vesa so that I can have a graphical desktop. Anyone have any info to help me out? At this point I'm ready to give up on Linux and go back to Windows. Two years of dealing with distros that can't even boot into a working graphical desktop has taken it's toll on me.

Edit Xorg Config file see what happens.

I had a similar problem , follow this link to http://phoronix.net/forums/showthrea...=1874#post1874
. cd /etc/X11/
Make a back up of the xorg.conf file , cp xorg.conf xorg.bak1.
Mode the xorg.conf file . In the device section change the driver to vesa. Give that a try .

Thanks,
Ben
