Hi guys today I got fc6 Dvd (32bit version)
But I can't install it my computer. here is the problem:

when I boot with that, it didn't ask for cheaked the cd or dvd
then fast screen after bood to shoose a languge then ask me about keyboard (not in graphical type mode, it's like in text mode like over the blue screan) then ask for installation me that "What type of media contains the packager to be installed: local cdrom, hard drive, nfs image......."
It I select Local CDROM
then syas, No driver found, unable to find this............ then ask me "Select driver" "Use a driver disk" "back"
if I select select driver then show:
Select device driver to load like adaptec AHA-152x (aha152x)
.................
......
If i select any one, nothing happen and if I use a driver disk then show fd0 and sda and after select fd0:
Insert your driver disk into /dev/fd0 and press "ok to contine" after ok says " failed to mount driver disk "ok" then ask same thing and what's all what i can do.

I installed with that dvd to my frd's computer, I hadn't problem, it's load anaconda, and don't ask me about anything like that. and complete the installation

If it worked with your friend's machine, you've checked that the checksum matches (downloaded image file before burn) and run the disc check that's prompted after you insert the disc (if you're not prompted, the disk might not be completely functional), then it's about hardware, not the disc itself.

I would suspect your sata harddisk. Last two times I've seen a Fedora setup asking for a driver it was because of the harddisk (sata both times) couldn't be used; there was no driver for that in the installation disc. Is it a new machine? Did you put the diskette (fd0) in that contained a Linux driver for the harddisk?

My advices: search for, and download if you find, a Linux driver for your sata harddisk. Put it on a floppy disk, start the installation and when prompted, put the floppy in and select fd0. The setup should run in graphical mode, but if you're facing the "console user interface" instead, then your video card is probably not detected either and has to be configured after the setup.

FC6 is badly broken and has numerous problems. Wait until FC7.
