FC5 test3 LOTS of issues for you, too?
I installed this morning, a fresh install, and has the following:
Kudzu crashes during boot with a segfault DHCP fails to get me an IP from my router After the GUI starts, the mouse is so sluggish it's unusable yum won't contact any of the repos that are shipped After all that, I just gave up on it. I did spec the Xen kernel during install, maybe that's what's causing all of this? |
FC5 is in test; if you downloaded it, the assumption is you are going to be reporting bugs so they can be corrected prior to release.
If you don't want to deal with a buggy download and reporting bugs, wait until Mid-March for the official release, or use FC4, which is quite stable. |
Yes, thanks, I'm aware of all that, and on FC4 now. I didn't make bug reports, as these issues, if happening everywhere are showstoppers, being reported by thousands. Either today, or in the AM, I plan to install again, using the non-Xen enabled kernel, and evaluate that. Maybe see something different. I hope. I'll let us all know.

WHEE! It WAS the xen kernel, or, my not knowing what I am doing with that kernel. I reloaded with plain vanilla, and all those issues went away. In fact, I am posting with FC5 Test3 now. Now, time to play with beagle and tomboy. :)
