FC5 readcd Illegal request

I am trying to use readcd on FC5. For some CDs I start getting Illegal request at first sector itself. Though I am able to play these CDs. If I give -noerror option It displays errors in every sector.
I am using following commangd

readcd -dev=ATA:0,1,0 f=somefile.iso

I also tried the right click and copy CD from My Computer that exits with an error saying can not start child process .. "cdrdao".
I have a samsung CD-Rom and Sony CD Writer. Both are recognized properly in dmesg, readcd -scanbus and cdrecord -scanbus.
I have just started to use FC 5 (3 days) and I am trying to write CDs. Once I have created the image plan to transfer it to a CD using readcd -w option. let me know if there is a better way to do this.

Hmm....

Try; readcd -dev=/dev/hdX f=foo.iso
where X is one of your drives(Hint ls -l /dev/cdrom)

Is cdrdao installed; rpm -qa cdrdao

No then; yum -y install cdrdao

Many find the GUI interface K3B to be very useful, even in Gnome;

yum -y install k3b

Thanks Lenard.
I installed cdrdao and k3b. k3b looks good. I tried a audio CD copy .. it took 45 mins to read the CD and then while writing it used 20x speed and failed. I will try to set the speed and then write .. Sony CD writer has 8x/4x/32x written on it so I feel 8x is maximum writing speed.
