FC5, NFS, and iptables

Hey all,

I'm attempting to figure out what I need to do to allow my NFS server on a FC5 system to be mounted while also running iptables. It seems that NFS uses random ports, so there's no way to specify the correct ports to open in iptables. In previous versions of Fedora, I was able to create a file in the /etc/sysconfig folder called nfs that I could specify ports for it to use, and then open the appropriate ports in iptables. With FC5 now, that file is cleared out when the service is restarted, meaning that nobody is able to mount any shares on the server anymore.

So, as a result, I'm wondering what else I can try. Keep in mind I need to keep the firewall up and running, but other Linux systems must be able to mount to the server via NFS. Any ideas on what else I could try?

Thanks!

Hmmm... I specify ports in /etc/sysconfig/nfs, and it survives reboots and service restarts.

Here's mine.
Code:
[jcliburn@petrel ~]$ cat /etc/sysconfig/nfs
export MOUNTD_PORT=922
export RQUOTAD_PORT=923
