FC5 ISOs are Suddently Corrupt

Hello,

I've installed FC5 on numerous machines (probably close to 25) all using the same set of CDs that I downloaded and burned myself. All of a sudden, during an installation, it stops with an error telling me that the disc it is using (disc 2) is corrupt. And sure enough, when I tested it using the media check if failed 6 times in a row. I figured I had might as well test all the other ones too while I was at it. Discs 2, 3 & 4 are all corrupt! How could this be. I tested each of them 6 times. Since disc 1 is good, then I know the media check is working correctly. It just doesn't make sense. There are no scratches on any of the CDs as I keep them in a soft sleeve case when not in use. I cleaned them all with a no-scratch cloth, but nothing seems to work. Does anybody know what could have happened that would case the CDs to get corrupted? Could they have gotten too hot, too close to some sort of magnet, etc. ?

Thanks,
~Justin

It could be a problem with the optical drive being used for the installation. The media test is buggy and almost always fails for me (there are previous discussions about this somewhere in the FC forum) so don't worry too much. Try the discs on another machine or a different optical drive.

I'll give it a shot. Is there any way to check the md5sum from the data on a CD so I could compare it to the ISO I orignally downloaded? I don't even know if this would work, but it seems like a good idea.

I'll try a different machine and see what I get.
