Dual head is notoriously fiddly to set up and I've never got it to work using the wizard, I've always had to manually edit the Xorg.conf file. Basically, you need two device sections, two monitor sections, two screen sections, and you need to modify the ServerLayout section to reference both screens, using the first (primary) as the point of reference and then geographically referencing the other one (i.e. is it left or right of the primary). You should be able to find some examples if you Google for dual head Xorg.conf.
