FC4 System Crash bcs chown -R named:named extend

I have FC4 ...

and run chown -R named:named /var/named

the result of this command several files and directories convert to named:named included system files directories of files... included home users directories... some files not all...

this is possible??? why this happen??

this crash the system and i want know why..
