FC4 bootup extremely slow? stuck in 'starting sendmail'

My fedora 4 was fine yesterday, but after I reboot, the booting process is extremely slow, it stopped at 'starting sendmail' for about 2 minutes, and then 'sm-client' for about another 2 minutes, anyone knows what's wrong with that?

May I disable sendmail from starting up? or is that something the system must start in order to work properly?

You can disable sendmail from starting up. That will immediately resolve your slow boot problem.

Troubleshoot why sendmail fails to start - look at the logs. DNS problem?

Question 1: How do I disable sendmail?
Question 2: Where's the log files?

1: 'chkconfig --levels 235 sendmail off' (as root)
2: Probably in /var/log/mail.log. Google will be able to tell you the exact location if you can't find it, I'm sure.
