The installer contains a stage for partitioning whereby yo ucan do what you want, like above you will need a partition for / which is the 'root' of the directory tree (much like C: is in windows) as well as a swap partition (like your page file/virtual memory in windows). It is also an idea to create a seperate /home partition, which is where all your user configurations/files are stored (like "my documents" in windows). So tha if you reinstall (you probably awill a few times before you're happy
) you will stil lretain al lyour settings etc.
