FC3 not installing

I recently downloaded FC3 burned the cds and ran the install. It worked until it got to the end (cleaning up after installing packages) and a debug code box popped up. I couldn't copy it because the mouse didnt work. I also read something about logitech mouses causing this problem. Is it USB mouses in general because I switched to my stock mosue but it still doesnt work. So it is either the mouse or not the mouse but something else. HELP

Doubt it is a mouse, I have a Logitech USB mouse and no problem there. You probably where able to use the mouse during the install so AFAIK, it would seem to be something else.
Does a livecd linux such as Knoppix boot up ok?

It's possible that enough of the install completed to allow you to fix things. Here's where that 5th fedora cd comes in real handy. It's called the rescue cd , not very large ( about 50 -70 MB if I recall ).
1. Boot up into rescue mode.

2. Set up networking. If you are hooked to a router, you can use dhcp. Otherwise, you can put an ip in manually and will need a valid dns server ip also.

3. Allow it to detect your installed system.
If it is detected, you should get a message about it being mounted at /mnt/sysimage.

4. If it is not detected ( not good ), you can still try the manual approach.
manual approach means you need to remember what partition you installed fedora onto.
For example: /dev/hda2
Then I would run the command: mount /dev/hda2 /mnt/sysimage

5. run the command: chroot /mnt/sysimage

6. run the command: yum update

If you have a valid network connection, yum should start buzzing. The updated packages may just fix the problem you are having. That also would be a nice way to fix the i810 video driver problem which I see mentioned often.

That rescue cd is excellent and just a few steps away from complete Fedora live cd !

You could also use similar steps with any other live cd like knoppix.

You should have used the Slack torrents. They worked perfectly for me.
