FC3 can't read this Hdd

Hi, guys,
After much struggle, I manage to install FC3. Thanks you WhatsHisName for your leads.
Now I have a tricky problem FC3 can't read my second hard disk (hdd).

with # dmesg
...
Probing IDE interface ide1...
hdc: TSSTcorpCD-RW TS-H292B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdd: QUANTUM FIREBALLlct20 10, ATA DISK drive
...
hda: 156250000 sectors (80000 MB) w/2048KiB Cache, CHS=16383/255/63, UDMA(100)
hda: cache flushes supported
hda: hda1 hda2 hda3 < hda5 hda6 hda7 >
hdd: max request size: 128KiB
hdd: 20044080 sectors (10262 MB) w/418KiB Cache, CHS=19885/16/63, UDMA(33)
hdd: cache flushes not supported
hdd: hdd1[DM]
hdc: ATAPI 48X CD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, UDMA(33)
...

and #fdisk -l
...
Disk /dev/hdd: 10.2 GB, 10262568960 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19885 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdd1 * 1 19884 10021531+ 54 OnTrackDM6

I have to admit I used the Quantum 's OnTrack Disk Manager to format the old hard disk few years back.
And It still run perfect under FC1.
I think the 2.6x kernel may have some extra modules that read the system and confuse itself.

Wonder this is the right track?

Any suggestion?

Regards
tanm

What is it formated as?
Try fdisk or cfdisk and format and partition it as you would want.
BTW are you dualbooting with something else? if not than format the drive the same tipe as you boot/root partitions.

hi ctkroeker
Thanks for your reply, I don't intent to reformat it yet 'cos it still has my old data for both ext3 and fat32 partition.
I still wonder why under FC1, It is ok but not for FC3.
Yes, My triple boot (Xp, FC3 and FC1 ) is on my first hard disk.
Any clue?
Thanks
