FC3 & Java/Javascript

Everytime I'd get to a website that uses Java or Javascript, I'd try to download the program with no success, because they're all for Windows?

How or where can I find Java/Javascript software just for Linux? I don't need downloads for Windows,I need a program where I can use in FC3 in place of all those software for Windows.

I hate Windows, but love doors.
Can someone please just get rid of half of these proprietory Windows software? Why must we use Java/Javascript? Isn't there no more programmers out there? How about using a universal Linux programming scripts like Perl?

Thank you.

Hi.

Javascript is fully supported in Firefox, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Java is also fully supported through Sun's JVM ( http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp ) (which has recently been opensourced, which is nice).

Can you give us an example website that you've had trouble with?

Dave
