Fc3?

I have Fc1 fully updated with kernel-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl and all the programs I need for my PC. Works fine, I only use it to surf, bank, read different news groups, and play with Linux. Is there any reason for me to upgrade to FC3? And can I do this over the top or does it have to be a clean install. I should mention it's on a home network with windows pcs.
Thanks for any help you may render.

As long as you keep the packages up to date (with YUM, apt4rpm or up2date), no. The beauty of Linux is that you don't have to keep jumping to the latest release a la Windows, you can just keep the files/programs used by it updated. For security and stability reasons.

FC3 is faster than FC1 & the newer kernel has some advantages, as do
the newer versions of Gnome & KDE. If it were me,I'd back-up and re-install
fresh when FC4 comes out.
