Fedora core 2, Kernel 2.6.6-1.435, 3.9.0 ATI drivers. Up2date or yum update (as of yesterday) wants to update several xorg-x11 packages, I get this message;

file /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 from install of xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL-6.7.0-5 conflicts with file from package fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0.

Any ideas?

I found the answer on another forum. All you have to do is yum remove xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL then run yum update or up2date again.

[root@localhost /]# yum remove xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL

The up2date install went fine and 3D acceleration still works.
