FC2 Mozilla/Firefox slow host resolves?

Don't know if it's been covered here but since installing FC2 I've had the big slow host resolves while browsing the web. Today I got tired of it so I searched around and found the below fix to be working pretty good so far...haven't had it take a long time resolving anything like before. Either reboot afterwords or I guess rmmod'ing and modprobe'ing again might work..I just reboot it.

as root...
echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf

post up if this fixes it for you...

Same issue in Fedora Core 4 - same fix ?

I was experiencing the same delay w/ Firefox in FC4. After trying your fix the 2-3 second delay I was experiencing between inputting a URL and getting it to pop up is gone. Very odd, but thanks for the tip. God knows how many settings and configuration changes I've tried to resolve that. So how exactly does echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf fix the issue?
