FC2, Installing from CD, Image checksum error
 

When I place FC2-Disk1 in the cd and reboot I am getting the following message.

"ISOLINUX 2.08 2003-12-12 isolinux: Image checksum error, sorry..."
"Boot failed: press a key to retry..."

... I have tried FC2-Disk2 as someone else said maybe that will boot but it does not.

Any ideas?

Reload setup defaults in your bios and redetect the hard drive. if that doesn't work then

You need to know the exact Cylinders, heads and sectors for the hard drive.

when the system boots from the cd
type "linux hda=C,H,S"
so you would be typing "linux hda=10000,512,60

this all depend on what your harddrive information is.
and replace C H S with the Cylinders, heads and sectors of your hard drive you may have to look at the actually hard drive as the bios information may be unreliable. This seems to be a problem with some laptops.
