FC11 X86_64 occasional instability

Hello All,
I recently did a fresh install of FC11 X86_64, having been using FC9 X86_64 for quite a while with almost a troublefree run.
I have had a couple of occasions where the screen has suddenly blacked out, to recover a couple of seconds later, and once the system completely died (powered off) as if the power had been cut.
I usually have Opera (v9.64) running, but other than that I can't point to any other software that might be involved.
I am using Gnome and running an Nvidia 9600GTcard. The driver is 173.14.18, from livna.
I haven't been able to find anything in log files.
If you have had similar experiences, please let me know. I would like to get to the bottom of possible.
Also, any advice on how to tackle tracking this down will be much appreciated.

Hullo All,
I have just had another powerdown experience.
I had just started to play a music CD with Rhythmbox when the system went down.
I'm beginning to wonder if it may be a hardware problem.
I really do need some help with where to look/what to do to track this down, so any advice please.
