FC1 rhythmbox error : "Failed to create mad element; Check your installation."

I downloaded the updated version about 10 minutes ago.
After adding music to my Media Library, I click play.

I get this error:

Failed to create mad element; Check your installation.

***

Also, what radio stations do you listen to with rhythmbox, and what are their URLs? I'd like to try that feature.

Thanks for reading!

Marco

You probably need the mp3 plugin in order to play mp3's. Most distro's ship without mp3 support due to licencing issues.

Hope this helps.

rhythmbox

I knew about Fedora and attack lawyers etc., so I installed DVD and MP3 support from livna.org
XMMS plays MP3 just fine... does rhythmbox use the same codec as XMMS, or do I need a seperate one for it?

Er,
Don't know to be honest. I can't stand Rhythmbox.
Ugly piece of work.
I like beep-media-player (more or less indistinguishable from xmms).

Never mind...

rhythmbox is working now, it did need its own packages, such as

yum install gstreamer gstreamer-plugins-mp3 rhythmbox

So this is what iTunes is like. Good way of organizing music.
